About The Event

All we seem to hear about when it comes to our children’s education is how much was lost during the pandemic…but that was last school year. STARTING NOW, we want to focus on the future and what your children can gain towards reaching their educational goals.

Would it reduce your stress as a parent to know:
Is my son or daughter on track as a reader?
How is our school teaching my child to read?

Would it empower you as a parent to know:
How can I support my children in their reading journey?
What are the best ways to advocate for their education?

If your answers are yes, The Salvation Army invites you to join us for a virtual family night in which area teachers will explain the essentials of reading instruction and arm families with the key “musts” of early reading. Families will also learn about the new, free resources available from Tennessee as part of the state's Reading 360 initiative, as well as other resources that may be available to your family through the programs of The Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army wants to provide you with the support and resources needed to help your family not only make up for the losses of the last year, but leap ahead towards a brighter future. We hope you will join us on this journey.
